CleanCo is a non-alcoholic spirits start-up founded by British TV personality and entrepreneur Spencer Matthews. They offer all kinds of delicious hangover-free alternatives from flavoured gins to whiskey, tequila and vodka.
In 2019 we helped the business, brand new to market, launch their online DTC shop. Receiving the branding and working in collaboration with Mother Design, we set them up on Shopify Plus.

Working with a premium theme, we made a number of design customisations from the onset to ensure the brand would really shine. Since then, we supported them through multiple face-lifts and brand evolutions, tweaking the theme and introducing new bespoke features.
From a free postage progress bar to a multi-tiered mix and match discount and in-cart upsells; we designed and built features to actively support their commercial goals, improving average order value and overall conversion.
We also developed a solution so they could sell to the UK and Ireland from a single store using segregated inventories corresponding to two different warehouses.
Early on, we supported the team with a lot of their campaign work, from simple email marketing via Klaviyo to capturing traction from sampling activations and their first TV campaign. We set up landing pages with URL tracking and advanced CRM data capture, and collaborated with their PPC agency to help deliver the campaign implementation from a technical point of view.
In 2022 we stepped in to support their US team where we rolled out the same customised theme but with additional region-specific customisations. With the US site being an entirely separate Shopify Plus store, we also implemented a custom geolocation pop-up and dropdown to ensure customers would shop in the correct region.
